“Joint Stars” exercise – day/1

From 17 to 29 May 2021 the Italian military exercise “Joint Stars 2021” will take place on the Tyrrhenian sea and on the Sardinian channel.

This morning we’ve tracked these Italian Air force aircraft:

  • a Boeing KC-767A (reg. MM62227 – callsign PETROL21) departed from pratia di mare AB making an AAR mission between Sardinia and Sicily
  • a Lockheed KC-130J (reg. MM62303 – callsign GASOIL22 ) making a similar mission over southern Tyrrhenian sea
  • a Gulfstream E.550 CAEW (reg. MM62303 – callsign IAM1470) making a surveillance mission over the central Tyrrhenian Sea

In the exercise are participating also some ItAF F-2000s and F-35s
