New central Mediterranean sea mission for an Italian Air Force ATR P-72A: the aircraft (reg. MM62280 – callsign IAM4101) left Sigonella AB at 09:44 CEST southbound.

The P-72A made a 5 hours mission into the Tripoli FIR over international waters off western Libya (between Tripoli and Misurata).

It is possible that this type of mission is linked to the control of migrant smuggling and the activity of fishing vessels operating in the area after the attacks of the week race.
