The Desk Aeronautico site writes that from tomorrow to Wednesday 25 November 2020, from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 19.00 (local time), flight activities will take place from an unidentified aircraft carrier in the Ionian Sea off eastern coast of Sicily.

The operations area will be called “Fancy” and will be extends from the ground to FL80. The activities will take place within Rome FIR and in international waters.

At the moment there are no US aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean. Probably the carrier will be an Italian unit, the Garibaldi (C 551) and / or the Cavour (C 550).

Already in the past days the Italian Harriers have moved to the Sigonella base for joint activity with US aircraft.
