USAF C-17 to Libya?

Share

Yesterday evening we’ve tracked an USAF Boeing C-17A (reg. callsign RCH147) departed at 21:55 CEST from Ramstein AB and “disappeared” from all tracking site at 00:16 CEST flying south of Lampedusa southbound at FL410.

We’ve not tracked a return flight (yet).

Note that in this area, in the same moments operated a USNavy Lockheed EP-3E (160764) departed from Souda Bay AB. The presence of this aircraft is not unusual in this area but the presence of this aircraft at this time (around 01:00 CEST it was still in the area) is very unusual. We don’t know if these flights are connected.

UPDATE

It seems that different USAF flight are landed in Misrata in the last time (all flights not trackable)
