Two Italian Navy ships with crews in quarantine for coronavirus cases on board: these are – it is learned from the Navy’s general staff – the amphibious ships San Giusto (L9894) and San Giorgio (L9892), both berthed at the naval base of Brindisi.

Two sailors on board tested positive at Covid 19.

About 300 crewmen from the two ships will have to observe a period of isolation at home, either in their homes or at military facilities. The two ships, on which no one is now on board, will remain berthed in the port of Brindisi supervised by the staff of the Naval Station who will maintain their efficiency.
