New “Aries” mission off Libya

USNavy Lockheed EP-3E “Aries II” (160764) left around 10:30 AM CET Souda Bay AB southbound.

The aircraft is making a new ISR mission over Libya but when the Aries left Grek airpsace the signal was lost so we can’t know where exactly the mission is made.

In the last days we’ve already tracked an EP-3E making an ISR mission off western Libya but in these minutes we’re not tracking the aircraft in this area. In the past USNavy Aries made this kind of mission also off eastern Libya (as you can see in the track below recorded some time ago).

Furthermore, it is always possible that the plane carries out its mission in both sectors (first in the eastern one and then in the western one)
