USS Florida continues her patrol in the Mediterranean

On mid December the USS Florida (SSGN 728), an Ohio class nuclear attack submarine, made a stop in Souda Naval base, Crete.

The 24th december the submarine arrived in Gibraltair.

Yesterday the Florida left Gibraltar to continue her Mediterranean patrol. The USS Florida can carry up to 154 Tomahawk missiles and in 2011 during the Operation Unified Protector in Libya the Florida launched more than 90 Tomahawks.
