“New” LNA MiG-23MLD

This news date back to end of september but it’s interesting: a unique Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 Flogger fighter jet has been seen in Benghazi airport, Libya, in service with Khalifa Haftars’ Libyan National Army (LNA).

As seen on the photograph, the MiG-23MLD Flogger which was formerly non-operational was made flyable by cannibalizing parts from other stricken aircraft.

The aicraft was stored at Benghazi for many years but in January 2018 it was noted during overhaul.

As you can see in this tweet only “144” on the nose was readable so the entire serial (2960326144) is not 100% confirmed
