Aborted mission for an Italian Hercules to Libya

Around 2 PM an Italian Air Force Lockheed Martin C-130J (MM62181) operating, as usual, the Pisa S. Giusto AB – Misrata flight. It was an usual flight with supplies for the Italian military field hospital in Misrata.

Before the entry into Libyan airspace the Hercules remained in holding for some minutes near Lampedusa island.

After that the aircraft returned back to Italy.

We’ve news about a LNA air attack on Misrata airport (destroying a Sky Avia IL-76) in the same minutes.
