Turkish UAV off Cyprus

Today again a Turkish UAV ( probably a Turkish Navy Bayraktar TB2, TCB807) )is making a patrol mission off Cyprus, this time off western coasts near “Fatih” drillship.

In this area Turkey sent three ships  to search for gas and oil. Turkey and Cyprus have overlapping claims to regional waters, linked to the 45-year-old split of the island and Ankara’s rejection of agreements the Republic has reached with other Mediterranean states on maritime economic zones.
