In early May, four Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft arrived at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base near Constanta, Romania, for NATO enhanced Air Policing duties.
Flying alongside the Romanian Air Force MiG-21 fighter aircraft, the Eurofighters will police the skies over the country adjacent to the Black Sea overseen by Allied Air Command at Ramstein, Germany, and controlled by Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC) Torrejon in Spain.
